Christmas Blessings

Greetings Friends,

It has been a busy week before Christmas.  We had a bit of winter weather on Friday morning which cancelled school.  I ran into several parents who said their kids cried when they found out school was cancelled.  Of course, Christmas parties were scheduled for Friday.

It has also been a busy week for deliveries.  Edgar was my exchange partner this year in the Friends Stitching Through the Seasons exchange.  Here is a snap of what he sent.  I apologize if my pictures are missing a few items.  I dismantled the box before I got pictures.  :-)  Thanks for a great year of packages Edgar.

Here is a pictures of the stitched piece I sent my partner Michelle.
I didn't get a pic of the other items I sent but I love this little stocking.

Karen and I do several exchanges throughout the year.
She outdid herself with our Christmas exchange.
She stitched the companion ornament to the piece I just finished which you can see here.

The boxes are full of finishing supplies and some yummy chocolate
covered pretzels (which didn't last long).
Thanks Karen!

Below is the piece I stitched for Karen.

Nancy at Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe had a generous month of Christmas giveaways on her blog.  I was the lucky winner one day.  I received this lovely assortment of her hand dyed floss in red.

I love Nancy's floss and trimmings.  You really should check out her site.  She is a pleasure to order from and provides great customer service, not to mention the great products.
Thank you, Nancy!

My friend Michele blessed me with a Christmas package that contained this birdie ornament.
I am all about birds right now and I love this design.
Thank you , Michelle!

Thank you for stopping by and spending a little bit of your day with me.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas,
Nan

Holiday Samplings

Christmas Greetings Friends,

I hope this finds you well and in the Christmas spirit.

The weather here is finally cold and I saw a few snow flurries this afternoon.
Although I dislike cold weather I do think it makes it feel a little more like Christmas.

I've been doing a lot of stitching and I'll have lots to share soon.  It seems as though I would rather stitch than finish right now.  I did manage to find a frame for this piece today.
One Christmas finish down....more to come.
